Cuyahoga Falls City Schools cancels evening activities, but School Board meeting is still on

After-school and evening activities for the Cuyahoga Falls City School District on Wednesday have been cancelled with the exception of the School Board meeting and optional high school athletic practices, according to Deputy Superintendent Melvin Brown.

Ohio Tornado Safety Week is March 19-25. The statewide drill will take place March 22 at 9:50 a.m. The city of Cuyahoga Falls' normal test day for its outdoor warning sirens is the first Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. The city will be participating in the state drill on March 22.

The Waves emerge on top at the Tri-C High School Rock Off

The 2017 Tri-C High School Rock Off champion was crowned Feb. 25. The Waves, a four-member band with members from Akron and Cuyahoga Falls, took first place in the 21st annual competition, which started with semi-final rounds in January with more than 40 bands and solo artists.
