Sewing groups meet in region throughout June On June 21, the American Sewing Guild Wadsworth group will meet at 7 p.m. at the Trinity United Church of Christ, 215 High St., Wadsworth. Members will be working on a service project.
The Hudson Garden Club Tea room is looking for people to volunteer to bake cookies. The group is excited to get back to basics with home-baked cookies and are hoping for 3-6 dozen of your favorite recipes peanut butter, coconut, chocolate, lemon -- any of your favorites.
Hydrant flushing is scheduled to begin in the city of Cuyahoga Falls on June 19 and will run roughly through Aug. 18. Hydrant flushing will occur during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Flicks on the Falls will return to the Downtown Amphitheater starting June 15 with the movie "Sing." The city will again partner with Western Reserve Hospital to offer free movies for families.
The Stow High Class of '72 Reunion will be Sept. 1 and 2 at Roses Run Country Club, 2636 North River Road in Stow. The schedule of events includes a golf outing, with tee times from 1 p.m., and an informal mixer at 7 p.m. on Sept. 1, as well as cocktails and a buffet dinner starting at 6 p.
Summer Day Camp Registration for Summer Day Camp at the Riverfront YMCA is currently underway. Camp is offered through Aug. 11 for children who have completed Kindergarten through age 12. Campers go on field trips, build friendships, hike, play games, swim, and so much more.
Calling all Tiger Band alumni The CFHS Pride Alumni Marching Band needs members to join this year in the Stow Fourth of July Parade on July 4. Practice for the parade will be at Cuyahoga Falls High School on July 2 at 1 p.m. in the band room.
The 27th Annual Duck Race will be Aug. 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the back of Water Works Park and the Big Cuyahoga Shelter. This fun family community event is held to raise monies for the CFHS Scholarship Fund for graduating seniors this coming school year.
Car show set for June 25 Knights of Columbus car, truck and motorcycle show will be held June 25 from 1 to 5 p.m. at St. Eugene Catholic Church (next to Water Works Park), 1821 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls. There will be trophies, prizes, food, 50/50 raffle and music by DJ Bob Allen.
