TRAFFICKING, MARIJUANA POSSESSION, PARAPHERNALIA Drug charges filed: A 19-year-old Akron man was arrested and charged with trafficking in drugs (a fifth-degree felony), possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia (both minor misdemeanors) after police stopped him on a traffic violation at West Portage Trail and Canyon Brook Drive

FLEEING AND ELUDING Some appreciation: After a Cuyahoga Falls police officer spent more than an hour of his morning April 16 helping a 48-year-old city woman who had run out gas, she sped off at a high rate of speed and ran a stop sign at Anderson Road and Myrtle Avenue, according to the report.
BURGLARY Meds and more missing: A resident of the 400 block of Sackett Avenue reported someone entered her house by removing the front doorknob between 9 p.m. April 9 and 2 a.m. April 10 and took her medication, a speaker and bank checks. Total estimated loss is $65. Police have leads.
CRIMINAL DAMAGING Damage to home, car reported: A resident of the 1000 block of Tallmadge Road reported someone smashed out the front window of her apartment and damaged the driver's side doors of her car at 5:30 a.m. April 3. There are no leads or suspects.
MENACING Son threatens to start fire: A resident of the 1800 block of 11th Street reported her adult son sent her a text message on March 26 saying, "Set it on fire or I will." The woman, according to the report, believes this is a real threat to burn her house down.

CITY OF CUYAHOGA FALLS COCAINE POSSESSION Powder tests positive: A 43-year-old Akron man was charged Jan. 30 with possession of cocaine, a felony, after a white powder found in a plastic bag he dropped in a police cruiser last summer tested positive for the drug.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF Monkey shines: A resident of the 300 block of Johnson Avenue reported someone left a large, damaged stuffed monkey on his front porch between 8 p.m. Jan. 22 and 7:50 a.m. Jan. 23. The man said a similar incident occurred several months ago. There are no leads or suspects.

BURGLARY Door damaged: A Hidden Lakes resident reported someone broke into his home through the side garage door without permission between 5:30 and 6:52 p.m. Jan. 6. No items were reported taken, according to the report. Damage to the door was estimated at $500.
