On Jan. 30, the Cuyahoga Falls had their final dual meet of the season vs. Mayfield.
The coaches agreed that this meet was going to be swum with fun.
The line-up was completed by the captains to have fun with the line-up.
The Black Tigers lost by a score of 130.5-54.5, many positive aspects came from this meet, according to coach Mike McDonald.
"Throughout the season, the leadership of this team has come from the upperclassmen but know and especially in this hard time of the season, the underclassmen are uniting the team and we are all working together as a team," McDonald said.
It was a big meet for many of the guys.
Top performances came from Jacob Harvey in the 50 free and 100 back, Austin Crawford continues to excel at diving by posting his personal record again and for volunteering to swim a 500 Free.
Andrew Appleby also came up two personal records in the 100 free and 100 breast, Ryan Hillyer with a new PR in the 100 free, and Nathan Farris in the 200 and 500 free events.
The swimmers of the meet were Austin Crawford for his continued success on the diving board and PR's in 100 free and 500 free, and Andrew Appleby for his success in 100 free by breaking a 50 and his PR in 100 breaststroke.
"The coaching staff was pleased with the results from the meet and made them think a bit relating to the choices that some of the individuals will swim at sectionals. Overall, the coaches are optimistic for the end of the year and cannot wait for the swimmers to see how strong they really are," McDonald said. "They (the swimmers) have worked hard throughout the year and have learned a great deal."
The Black Tigers will compete in the sectional tournament at the University of Akron. The diving begins on Feb. 11 with swimming starting on Feb. 12.
