The Sheraton Suites announces the reopening of the Jetty, which was a popular location through the 1990s. The Jetty is a casual outdoor dining and bar area that overlooks the Cuyahoga River. In anticipation of the Front Street Pedestrian Mall opening, the Sheraton executives believe it is a "perfect time" to reopen the Jetty to support the development of South Front Street.
"So many people have fun memories of the Jetty," said Jeff Lynch, General Manager of the Sheraton Suites. "We are thrilled to again offer the beautiful outdoor option to our guests and the community."
In fact "local flair" was a key proponent to the design. "We are all about supporting the community and the excitement of the opening of Front Street," said Lynch. "We are also happy to support a local brewery by serving Mucky Duck draft beer exclusively, which is brewed in Akron near the Portage Lakes."
Drift wood that was collected from the river was used to make a chandelier under the large canopy that extends over the bar and dining area. The hotel has also supported the local kayak race organization and wanted to show their support by displaying two kayaks that were donated to the Jetty.
Patrons can also enjoy flat screen TVs, an extensive list of craft beers offered by the can, as well as a large list of wines by the glass and full bar. The food menu is casual but offers a well planned offering of a wide range of cuisines.
The Jetty is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Weather permitting, the Sheraton lounge entertainment will play at the Jetty on Saturday evenings. For more information, visit the Sheraton Suites at 1989 Front St. or call Beau's on the River at 330-920-7530.
