Police find alleged counterfeit bills: A 19-year-old Cleveland woman was charged with forgery after police reported finding three fake $100 bills and two fake $20 bills in her purse after she was taken into custody on Dec. 16 at State Road and Portage Trail on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a driving under suspension charge.
Improper handling of a firearm
Pistol found in vehicle: A 21-year-old Akron man was charged with improper handling of a firearm after police stopped him for a traffic violation on Dec. 11 at 1:38 a.m. at Magnolia and Tallmadge. A .32 auto pistol was found under the driver's seat, according to the police report. The gun had one round in the chamber and five in the magazine.
Possession of drug abuse instruments, drug paraphernalia
Drug tools found: A 28-year-old Falls man was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia after police reported finding him in possession of two needles used for heroin use in the 2100 block of 12th Street on Dec. 13 at 5 a.m. A search of his person led to police finding a crack pipe in his pants, according to the police report.
Illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, drug abuse instruments
Three face felony drug charges: A 41-year-old Millersburg woman, a 33-year-old Wooster man and a 40-year-old Lakeville woman are all facing felony drug charges following a traffic stop on Valley Road on Dec. 15 around 1 a.m. After their vehicle was stopped for a moving violation, police reported finding all three subjects in possession of chemicals for the manufacture of methamphetamine. The 33-year-old was also in possession of a hypodermic needle and a scale, according to the police report. The 40-year-old was also in possession of a snorting straw and a white powder, while the the 41-year-old was in possession of a blue snorting straw with white residue, according to the report. All three are charged with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony. The 41-year-old and the 40-year-old are both charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The 33-year-old is also charged with possession of drug abuse instruments, a first-degree misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Theft of motor vehicle
Vehicle reported stolen: A Falls oman reported someone entered her unlocked green 1999 Toyota Corolla while it was parked in front of a home in the 1700 block of Hanover Street and left the area in the vehicle on Dec. 22 between 12:45 and 7:45 a.m. The estimated value of the vehicle is $1,500. Police said the vehicle has not been recovered. There are no leads or suspects.
Jewelry removed from home: A Falls woman reported on Dec. 20 that someone entered her Buckingham Gate Circle home on Dec. 15 between 3:25 and 7 p.m. and took a box containing jewelry and a second box containing nail polish. Estimated loss is $11,500. Entry was made through an unlocked sliding door. Police said the door was not forced open and added there are suspects in the case.
