CARLETON, Mich. (AP) -- A Michigan bride and groom dressed as zombies to mark a scary day of marriage with a Halloween-themed wedding.

The Monroe Evening News reports (http://bit.ly/RTr8Os ) 30-year-old Amanda Cusumano of Monroe and 40-year-old Todd Lambert of Carleton exchanged vows Saturday with a pastor dressed as Sherlock Holmes officiating. Friends and family also dressed in costume for the ceremony in Carleton, about 30 miles southwest of Detroit.

Cusumano wore a black velvet dress. Lambert wore a black suit and fake monster teeth, and carried a skeleton-headed cane. He says the aim was to be "unconventional."

Pastor Eric Drummonds says they came together "to celebrate one of the scariest moments of their lives."

Guests sat for the ceremony on hay bales. Their costumes included a chef, bride of Frankenstein and dental floss.
